Inpatient Surgery
Many types of surgery require one or more days  stay in the hospital. These include:

Head and Neck
     Thyroid and Parathyroid
     Thoracoscopic and Open Lung biopsy and resection
     Decortication     
     Chest tube and thoracentesis
     Bronchoscopy
     Pericardiocentesis and biopsy and window
     Evaluate pain, lumps, development and abnormal mammograms
     Biopsy, aspiration, lumpectomy, mastectomy and axillary dissection.
     Breast Implants evaluation, removal.

Abdominal
Hepatic
     Laparoscopic and open liver biopsy, Cholecystectomy, duct exploration.
     Hepatic resection limited to one or two segments
Pancreas
     Evaluation, exploration, drainage of cysts,  Peustoew and Whipples operation.
Spleen
     All procedures
Esophagus and stomach
     Laparoscopic Nissan Fundoplication for GERD and Hiatus hernia
     Ulcers
     Pyloric stenosis
     Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy
     Zenkers and other diverticula

Intestinal
     All procedures. Many with the Laparoscope.

Anus
     All procedures
Gynecological
     Abdominal Hysterectomy, hymenotomy, Bartholin's cysts.

Genitourinary
     Circumcision, Testicular torsion, undescended testes

Pediatric
     Pyloric stenosis
     Intussusecption
     Hernia
     Circumcision     
     Thyroglossal duct cysts and branchial cleft cysts.

Some of these can be performed as outpatient in selected circumstances.
